Competitive Speaking and Acting
This year long course focuses on Speaking and Acting events, The course will include an overview of various forms of competitive speech including Poetry Reading, Prose Reading, Story Telling, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, and Duet Acting(Duo). Students are expected to produce competitive National Speech and Debate Association pieces, to compete regularly, and to produce the Willard Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament. Debate This year long course is an introduction to debate. The course will include an overview of various forms of competitive debate and speech including Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Oratory, U.S. Extemporaneous, and International Extemporaneous. Students are expected to produce competitive National Speech and Debate Association pieces, to compete regularly, and to produce the Willard Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament. |
